Easter Eggs

Easter Eggs are "hidden features" that programmers like to hide in there software for clever people to find.  Most major software (including Windows 95/98, Word, Lotus 1-2-3, Photoshop, etc.) have Easter Eggs in them.  The Lain DVDs appear to be upholding this tradition.  I've placed the "Answers" to the eggs here on this special page to help avoid "spoilers" for those who like to hunt them down.

Serial Experiments Lain:NAVI DVD
The Easter Egg can be found by navigating to the second "E" in "Experiments" at the top of the DVD menu.  The display that you see was included on the first Japanese Lain LD, but you didn't have to "hunt it down."

Serial Experiments Lain:Knights DVD
The Easter Egg can be found by navigating to Lain's eyes on the DVD menu.  You'll see a cute animation of Lain getting bonked on the head with text even though she has an umbrella.

Serial Experiments Lain:Deus DVD
The Easter Egg can be found by navigating to the emblem on Lain's school uniform.  More cute animations!
